Applicants sought for panel on how to manage fishing on Bitterroot River

It’s soon going to be time for the public to weigh in on how fishing pressure on the popular upper reaches of the Bitterroot River could be managed in the future. Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is looking for applicants to volunteer to serve on a new Bitterroot River Recreation Advisory Committee.

The 10 to 15 members of the committee will be tasked to develop recommendations for managing river recreation on the Upper Bitterroot River and the West Fork of the Bitterroot. The committee will use information from two different surveys to help gain an understanding of how local anglers feel about the popular fisheries.
