Both are natives of north Louisiana, and they graduated from Ruston High School together. Now at 34 years old, both are in the real estate industry, Chase having brought Lane aboard several years ago.

The longtime friends got aboard the same bass fishing boat 15 years ago when they started competing in team tournaments. They did so again, being one of the 186 teams from across the U.S. and Canada competing in the Toyota Bonus Bucks Bassmaster Team Championship held last week on Kentucky Lake near Paris, Tennessee.
