Bass fishing tournament raises funds for Boys & Girls Clubs

Tanya Evans, Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central North Carolina chief volunteer officer, and Floyd Johnson, chief executive officer, present the winners of the 2017 Bass Fishing Tournament first-place prize to the team of Michael Chlomoudis and Marty Warren. Second place went to the team of Mike May and Dale Winstead. Winners of the “Big Fish” prize were Anthony Taylor and Robert Taylor, presented by Tanya Evans and Floyd Johnson.

The annual tournament on Kerr Lake is hosted by the N.C.B.A.S.S. Federation Nation to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central North Carolina. It attracted 66 teams on April 15. The $3,000 first-place prize was sponsored by Rose Oil Company and Rosemart Convenience Stores. The $2,000 second-place prize was sponsored by Country Snacks Manufacturing, Inc. The “Big Fish” $500 prize was sponsored by Toyota of Henderson. Checks were presented to the winners. Members of the clubs corporate and advisory boards assisted throughout the tournament.
