Bass Pro moves shipping cubes to less conspicuous spot

It took months longer than expected, but Bass Pro Shops has relocated shipping container storage away from a prominent Downtown corner. Intermodal shipping containers filled with merchandise had been stored in plain sight since before the outdoor goods retailer opened in the renovated Pyramid in April 2015.

A couple empty containers remained in the lot this week, waiting to be permanently removed, Bass Pro Shops spokesman Jack Wlezien said. Bass Pro Shops is using the fenced lot for overflow storage of boats. “Moving forward some boats may be stored in the area as well as on a portion of the parking lot,” Wlezien said. “Our boat numbers flux based on the season and this area will essentially serve as an overflow location for boats.”
