Pinelands Commission staff members have met with Washington Township Deputy Mayor Daniel James about safety concerns regarding fishing off the Lower Bank Bridge, and found the concerns to be realistic, said Commission Executive Director Nancy Wittenberg on Wednesday.
Her staff is now awaiting a decision by Burlington County about whether the bridge can be altered to improve safety. The bridge connects Egg Harbor City in Atlantic County and the Lower Bank section of Washington Township in Burlington County and was built by Burlington County in 1991.
