Glory Hole Sports is looking for teams to join its 2017 Big Bass Bash fishing contest on Jan. 28, and spots are filling up fast. Glory Hole Sports, a fishing and outdoor sports store just outside of Angels Camp, has hosted the annual event in the past and will welcome anyone interested in joining to register until the day of the event.

“We’ve got a lot of people interested. We’ve got a lot of people coming in to sign up,” said Gene Hildebrand, owner of Glory Hole Sports. The contest is limited to a 50-boat field. Early registration is the best way to go to ensure a spot in the contest. Buy in for the tournament is $165. Currently, approximately 10-15 slots have already been snatched up, with more claimed in name only.
