Enjoy our limited summer with finesse bass fishing

Summer’s simple joys include taking the blessings as they come. There’s no reason to rush through summer in Minnesota; after all, in a mere couple of months we could see frost, then freezing temperatures, then snow, and before you know it winter is here for an extended stay. So we take in the joys of summer slowly. For the angler this means spawning panfish early, maybe a couple days of river fishing, a few windy days fishing the walleye chop. And summer won’t be complete without a few days of fishing bass.

Beating the heat and the pleasure boats is just cause for getting up early. During the summer months, that’s quite an early alarm clock. There’s a certain amount of satisfaction in being first to a boat launch, sipping steamy hot coffee while the morning fog over the water settles and the sun rises.
