HOPEFULLY the sun will be shinning from now until Christmas. It’s a great time of year and nothing tops the Christmas dinner table then a fresh catch of fish, crabs or prawns. Let’s check out this week’s report to see if we can’t make your seafood Christmas dreams come true.

Moving north up along the island, sports fishing anglers are in pelagic heaven with plenty of action on the surface or up the shallows sight casting. Throughout the river and estuary systems for now there are a few silver bream and grunter getting about taking mostly strip baits. Smaller threadfin salmon up to the meter have been caught.
