Melvin Stewart on the Cumberland River: Last Sunday I fished the Cumberland River near West Nashville. After heavy rains and warmer than usual temperatures the river current was strong and muddy. Water was 51 degrees. The bass were holding where the main river water mixed with the clearer water of a creek. I caught three nice largemouths and two white bass on a white square-bill crank bait.
