This time of year, the only thing better than air conditioning is bass fishing. Summer months can offer some of the best fishing days, with a variety of baits that can bring success. It seems as though bass are easier to locate and pattern during summer months, giving anglers an added edge when looking for bigger fish.
The first thing that comes to mind when I think of hot weather is fishing thick cover, which provides fish with shade and seclusion. Some of my favorite baits to fish around thick cover are top water frogs and Texas rigged creature baits. Both of these baits are as close to weedless as you can get, and are great ways to target big fish.
