The Fishing Report: Clear Lake yields huge largemouth bass

What a difference a week makes. Look at these four Clear Lake largemouth bass, part of a two-day bag caught by George Blaine and John Letch. Their pro guide, Bob Myskey, told us that the top three fish were 7.5, 8.0 and 8.5 pounds. That’s 24 pounds of bass, bigger than a lot of five-fish bags weighed in at pro tourneys. C.A.S.T. for Kids … on Saturday, May 6, at the Oak Shores Day Use Area in Coyote Knolls at Lake Berryessa. The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation and the C.A.S.T. (Catch A Special Thrill) are conducting this event from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The C.A.S.T. for Kids event is designed to provide children with disabilities ages 5 to 17 the opportunity to enjoy a quality outdoor recreational experience through the sport of fishing.
