Fishing report: Largemouth bass slowing down at Cross Creek Lake

At Cross Creek Lake, the largemouth bass fishing has slowed down but anglers are still having some luck in the deeper sections of the water. For the most part, fishermen are having success with panfish. For the panfish, common baits such as night crawlers, minnows and wax worms usually produce solid results.

In Washington County, the Monongahela River is yielding smallmouth bass and white bass despite cooler water temperatures. The bass bite is not particularly strong, but reports indicate fishermen are reeling them in sporadically.
