FLW bass fishing tournament on Oneida Lake: Winner will get $35,000, plus boat

Brewerton, N.Y – The Costa FLW Series Northern Division hits Oneida Lake this week for a three-day tournament in which the winner will walk away with a $35,000 check, along with a $48,000 Ranger fishing boat. The tournament kicks off at 6:30 a.m. Thursday morning at the Oneida Shores County Park launch. A total of 220 anglers will be competing. The field will consist of 110 anglers, who will be accompanied on their boats by one co-angler.


The winning co-angler will get a fully rigged Ranger Boat valued at around $28,000, said Ron Lappin, director of tournament operations for FLW. FLW stands for Fishing League Worldwide. The anglers will head off at Oneida Shores Thursday, Friday and Saturday with weigh-ins Thursday and Friday beginning at 2:30 p.m at the park.
