June is a month that many outdoor enthusiasts anxiously await in our neck of the woods. With it comes bass season. America’s fish. On the third Saturday in June, bass season opens, and opportunity is abundant. To put it simply, they’re everywhere!
I grew up fishing bass on the St. Lawrence River and Black Lake in northern New York, but have enjoyed plentiful opportunities from Lake George to the Seneca River, and Lake Champlain to Oneida. If you fish pristine Adirondack ponds, larger systems like the Great Lakes, the historic haunts of the Finger Lakes, or anywhere in between, there are bass around. No matter your home range, New York offers some phenomenal bass fishing!
