I am always looking for new ways to fly fish and especially new ways to catch more fish. I came across another article that talked about the best 10 tactics to catch more fish. As I read through the article I came to the same conclusion that I have come across for the past 45 years of fly fishing. There’s no magic in fly fishing. The way to catch more fish is to fish more and be in places where the fish hang out.
There is no magic in tying your own leaders of cat gut. My grandfather had tied his own leaders because there was nothing else available. There was no monofilament and to create a tapered leader was not even possible.
