Guns recovered, arrest made in Bass Pro Shops robbery

KUSA – A 21-year-old man was taken into custody Tuesday night after police that responded to his home for another reason found the firearms stolen from the Stapleton Bass Pro Shops earlier this month. The suspect, identified as 21-year-old Michael Contreras, was arrested for investigation of second-degree burglary, theft, reckless endangerment and an outstanding warrant for failure to appear, Denver Police say.

Another suspect is still on the loose. Contreras was arrested after Denver Police officers responded to the 4900 block of North Perth Street on a report of shots fired. The investigation led police Contreras’ home, where they found the stolen firearms.
