EAST RIDGE, Tenn. — If you’ve ever wanted a job working in the heart of the outdoor industry (and you missed your chance at the other area outdoor retailers), now is your chance. The Bass Pro Outpost currently under construction has scheduled a job fair with plans to hire 150 associates in the Chattanooga area. The opening date for the new Bass Pro shop still hasn’t been announced, however company representatives will host the job fair from Monday, April 11 through Wednesday, April 13 at Camp Jordan Park Arena (323 Camp Jordan Parkway) in East Ridge. Representatives will be on hand from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. Applicants must apply in person and be at least 18 years old to apply.
The hiring of the outpost General Manager, Jarron Ritchie, was just announced last week. Several other key managers have been hired, including well-known area bass angler (and former car sales manager), David Hickman, as the Boat and Marine Group Sales Manager. Now the outpost wants to hire full-time and part-time employees for the following departments: fishing, camping, hunting, archery, footwear, apparel/gifts, marine accessories, receiving and customer service. Bass Pro Shops is also hiring cashiers, greeters, stockers, marine technicians, boat riggers, boat detailers and boat sales consultants.
