Meet the 2 men who scale Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid to wash windows

It’s hot for anybody working outside in the Memphis summer weather, but imagine being the guys who rappel hundreds of feet off the ground to wash the Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid. Two professional window washers–Danny Oszanick and Terrence Boone–are the best of the best window washers in Memphis.

They don’t get a platform to stand on to wash the windows; instead, they sit in what’s called a Bosun’s chair with two polyester ropes holding them in the air–one that’s their main line and another that’s their safety line. Because of how hot it is next to the glass and metal, they start at 6 a.m., work for three hours, then come back in the evening around 6 p.m. and work for another three hours.
