Outdoors: Autumn fishing takes on different tone

When summer didn’t end until late September, pushing autumn fishing further back, then to the rear thanks to Hurricane Florence and Hurricane Michael. Most of us missed the soft, mild days of fall, or maybe we just blinked.

Anyway, it’s now late fall, or early winter, depending on your attitude, so here’s a report as to where to find the fish. This could be some of the year’s best fishing. The man who sent this advice prefers low light conditions but says catfish can be often caught mid-day. The secret is live or cut bait fished in the 15-30 foot range. Find bait and you’ll find cats.
