People who don’t fish look at fishing as if it’s all dumb luck. They believe fishermen cast a lure randomly into a body of water and if it happens to pass the nose of a willing fish, they get a bite and catch a fish. A slightly more sophisticated perception is that anglers have secret spots where, using a little magic, they go to catch their fish.
