The lawn mowers are getting a workout this year. Rains have kept everyone guessing when to get out and mow the yard. We finally had a little break in the weather so farmers could get out and bale hay. Most of us know the old saying, “you got to make hay when the sun is shining.”
The Mississippi and Illinois Rivers are still at minor flood stage. There haven’t been many fishing reports from these two rivers. There are boat ramps that are accessible on both rivers for boaters and fish can be caught from the shoreline. We all know there are plenty of fish in both rivers but when the water is high they have a larger “fish bowl” to swim in and finding that “honey hole” of fish can be a little tougher to locate.
