Bass Pro Shops at The Pyramid plans to relocate a shipping container storage lot that violates the zoning code. The lot at the southwest corner of Front and A.W. Willis, which held 28 containers Monday, recently prompted a Downtown design board to question whether it’s a permanent fixture.

“The plan has always been to relocate them,” said Bass Pro Shops spokesman Jack Wlezien. “It sounds like maybe in the next couple months from what they’re planning.” For several months the outdoor goods retailer has stored 40-foot-long, 8-foot-wide, 8.5-foot-high metal boxes containing merchandise on the lot next to the major intersection.
