Smallmouth bass biting at Kiskiminetas River

Catch rates are on the rise at the Kiskiminetas River, where anglers are finding plenty of smallmouth bass. The bass don’t appear to be particularly picky when it comes to baits and lures, as fishermen are reporting successful results with a variety of tackle. The early-morning and early-evening hours have made for the best fishing. In between those times, the action is a little slower, according to reports.

Fishermen at Quemahoning Reservoir are doing well with smallmouth bass and even reporting a few walleye catches. High Point Lake is offering up bluegill to anglers in the area, with a few reporting some larger catches. For those who prefer to fish with live bait, wax works and meal worms typically work.
