The Lower Columbia River spring chinook fishery remains one of the hotter “go to” activities, and catches have started to increase late this week after a slight lull. “Effort is definitely increasing and fishing picked up around the I-5 Bridge and down toward Cathlamet,” said Joe Hymer, a state Fish and Wildlife biologist. “It is typical spring chinook fishing where its good one day and then you have to chase the bite the next day.” […]
