Three teenagers who like to kid each other about who’s the best fisherman decided to test their skills in a friendly competition and raise money for a local cause. The inaugural CMS Bass Fishing Tournament was held on June 30 at the Kenwood Park Boat Launch. CMS represents the founders of the tournament: Carson Carlington, Matthew Miehlke and Keenan Suminski.
“We decided that each year we will choose a different place to donate the profits,” said Matthew. “We want to help as many people as we can.” This year they chose Munson Healthcare Cadillac Hospital as the recipient of their funds to be used where most needed. “The hospital is there whenever you need them, so we thought this would be a great place to donate our first year’s profits,” said Carson.
