The best time of the year for trout fishing at local lakes is upon us, with thousands of trout being stocked at local lakes across the Willamette Valley.

With river levels still too high for most anglers — and runs of salmon and steelhead limited or months away — trout stocked at local hotspots is probably the way to go for amateur anglers. A full list of the places being stocked can be found via the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife’s recreation report, but here are a few local highlights.
