Two charged in Bass Pro Shop car burglary

Two Lake City men were arrested Monday after deputies say they stole more than $2,000 worth of items from a Bass Pro Shop customer’s car while he was inside the store.

According to the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office, a man reported to law enforcement officials that his 2011 white Ford window was broken, and items were stolen inside at the Celebration Pointe store’s parking lot. Employees from the sporting goods store said security footage showed two men climbing through the vehicle’s broken window, rummaging through the back seats, and leaving in a green car.
